2nd Journal Today: Well, how do I feel? DRAINED! God only knows why... but this has been a REST day since I got home from the gym this morning. (I know, I know... it isn't a rest day really since I went to the gym - but I just feel dog tired today!)

Did 10 min warm up on the eliptical, then did a series of upper body and lower body weights and machines. Probably about 25 min's ... then I just felt like I hit a wall, and got run over. Totally depleted.

So I came home, had two eggs .. and lounged! My steps are way off. As a matter of fact I decided at 10:30am this morning to not even look at them today. I just couldn't push myself to do anything.

I'm even typing slow...

Hope you are all well. Whatever it is, sure hope I feel rejuvenated by morning!

I feel like that sometimes, just want to sit and veg but I think sometimes we need to do nothing.....good for the soul, at least that is what I tell myself. You will be flying again tomorrow can't keep you down for long :)

Don't feel bad..I haven't gotten in that many steps today either..just can't get going today..I think mine is caused by the nasty weather we are having..I did do the treadmill walk before coffee though...Love..

I agree with all the above. Don't sweat it...sometimes your body will just tell you flat-out, "I'm done! Give me a break!" Rest up and you'll feel 100% better tomorrow.

Jsfantome, you took your first group session this week. When you are teaching, training or counselling, you have to concentrate 100% of the time and be ready for every question and situation. It takes time and energy to listen, evaluate and carefully word an answer, to get the response you want. It is particularly tiring when you first start - because you don't know whether the "class/ people" are going to believe in you, or think you are talking "bullshit". You have to use all your energy, to put across a convincing, enthusiastic case, for them to believe in and "run" with. At the time, you are not always aware of how draining it is - because you are on a "high". It's like being an actor on the stage - you put everything into your "part". People think it is an "easy" job, because if you are good, it seems easy :-)

skinny - I think you may be right! either way, had a great sleep, and feeling back to my normal self this morning! that's a good thing...

Some days you just need to take off. That's simply natural.

Glad you had a good rest and feel better. You listened to your body and gave it what it needed - rested - now go forth and conquer the rest of the day :)
