Well, I thought I would be nervous (not a big fan of speaking to a group) - but - NO, not so much! The class / group went GREAT! WHOO HOO!

There are about 8-9 of us, which is good.. not too many at one time, and not too few! We went over some of the basics of the WHY's people want to lose weight in the first place. They have to select their own 'plans', begin to prepare their food lists, clean out their cupboards, grocery shop, etc... and come back to class next week having started their journey, and found a place online to 'track'.

I did tell them all about FS - and encouraged them to join - if you see me mention a person and ask for BUDDIES for them... that will likely be why.

Some may want to start out tracking somewhere else... I started in a small spiral notebook at home... just as long as they are taking the early steps to TRACK, that's all I care about ;)

And I have one MAN in the group.. which I am thrilled about. Brings a nice balance.

OK - on to my own life.... Yesterday was ANOTHER 10,000+ step day! YAHOOOO! I am just starting to try to figure this thingy out... as my day goes on...my calorie goal keeps moving. The more calories I burn the more calories it tells me I still have left to eat ??? I don't get it. At the rates I am looking at I am basically creating about a 400 calorie deficit on average daily. About 2800 for the week. So I am going to just keep on trucking... and see if over two or three weeks time, does this really result in loss... or what?

Must say...it is still fun... and still my goal (regardless of the fitbit) ... and I would be working at it anyway.. so might as well get excited by and about this all by my new toy... it's a healthy distraction ;)

Go Bren, Go Stef and Di... You guys keep me at the bottom of the leaderboard daily! And I think I am doing something w/ my 10,000... Bren you are on fire!

Ok, all food related stuff is fine... obviously exercising, and water intake is normal and daily - Hope you are all well too!

Congrats on the class. I'm sure you will be great at keeping them motivated! I recently read that even a 100 cal a day deficit is creating a loss. Info changes almost daily. No wonder its so confusing for us!

Congrats on leading that church group. I can imagine you would be a great leader as you know so much on this subject. And on getting 10,000 steps a day - I need a rest just reading all you do.

I am still getting back in the swing of things and must have missed your intro to your group. Is it like a weight watchers group? I think it is awesome that you have that. You have some much great info sharing it is only fair =) Can't wait to see who looks into FS. Keep up the great work on your steps. It will be interesting to see your progress after a few weeks. You are making me think about where my old pedometer is. May pull it out.

M.Tru - go, go now... find it, dig it out, replace the battery if needed... it's the most fun I've had in a LONG time!!! (plus I am really tired at the end of each day, and sleeping like a baby!) ;)
