Avocado makes a great breakfast. I've been a bit lax over the last month or three. Think I'll buckle down for the rest of January, February, and March, and April. My birthday rolls around in May, thinking I'll wait till then to have another big splurge. Happy Friday, ya'll, hope you have a fun weekend!

I am on a avocado binge again. We had that avocado dip, then I had that avocado salad. You got me back on the benefits of avocados, and I am back on the avocado bandwagon again. Thanks Phil!

I had taken a break from them for a while, but I'm back on them again. Lilly freaking loves avocados, so it helps that she reminds me to pick some up when we're at the grocery store.

I love them too but they're a fair bit more expensive in the UK than you see them, Phil. That's a great maintenance phase you have going there 👍

And it's freaking cold in Texas today. Looks like our annual two weeks of winter came in a little early this year, not used to these sort of temperatures until February!

I bought some really good Hass ones, two for a dollar from Sprouts.

"Annual two weeks of winter", must be nice. it's freaking cold here, been that way for awhile and we are preparing for snow... BTW: My wife makes us some outstanding Guacamole folk... LOL

I'm making cupcakes for Lilly. Having a four year old kitchen helper is a true exercise in patience. lol

As a West Texan....it is brrrrrrry out today...even had a sprinkling of snow this morning. I lived in Chicago for 30 years and feel like a whimp when I complain of our two weeks of winter....but thanks for mentioning avocados...guacamole may make the day better.

I don't feel bad complaining about two weeks of winter, cold ain't my friend. It's worth 120° in July and August to skip most of winter. lol

I rarely eat avocado but a neighbor left me about 5 so that was my meals with low carb tortillas for a week...didn't gain! Waiting for another delivery : )

If I were ever to recommend a diet to anyone, and when I say diet I mean a short-term jump-start, I would tell them to eat two avocados a day for a month, one in the morning and another later in the afternoon. Pretty much a fat-fast, then transition to something sustainable. Walmart had avocados on sale 2/$1, can't hardly beat that.

I can finally tolerate half an avocado and I really love them. Mmm so good.

I love avocado with scrambled or fried eggs on top with hot sauce!

Phil, on that avocado jump-start: is there anything else involved or is that all you eat?

If it were me, it would just be the two avocados a day for a month. Others will have to decide if that's something they would be willing to do.

17° on my porch according to my Accurite digital thermometer. So far, in the Pineyplex, we've accumulated four days below freezing. Ten more days of sub-freezing temperature before the end of "Winter" is all I anticipate!

I love avocado's but I usually only use them in salads and to make guacamole. Since I can't have chips, I haven't made guacamole in a while. Anybody have some good avocado recipes to share?

My favorite ways to eat avocado; cut in half/remove pit/peel and eat, guacamole, avocado salsa (different from salsa verde or guacamole), garnish for salads or burgers, side dish for just about anything.
