The 1000 calories does not work for me...two weeks and I gained 1.5lbs whereas with 1200 cals I lost 7lbs in two weeks. With 1000 I also had to cut my exercise down to a 400 cal burn to avoid passing out.
Back to 1200 for me.
163.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Why would you cut your calories if you were losing at 1200? The more calories you eat while your losing, the easier maintaining will be. Stay at 1200! You want to keep your metabolism burning. Cutting calories can slow it down (when it gets below a certain point).

I was doing the 1000 calorie 4 week challenge. It's not all bad, I did learn how my body reacts and I still have a 6lb loss in 4 weeks. I figure the more we know about our bodies the more control we have over it :)
