Wow.... That's awesome! What have you been doing, in summary, to consistently drop a pound per day?

Thanks, everybody!
Gacastillo, I'm actually dropping a pound every few days, not every day. Briefly, I was on my favorite diet, LCHF, for quite a while, but I had gone off the rails and gained some weight. Two months ago, I ended up with some GI problems, mostly dealing with reflux... and kind of serious. So it was a life-changer. Had to lose weight and had to change my diet. I was nervous, because the suggested changes brought in more carbs, but it's been great. I average around 1800 calories a day, roughly 50-60 percent fat, the rest split between carbs and protein, with an average fiber intake in the mid-to-upper 40's. I walk the dog most days, play some ping pong... and the weight is just melting away. A big key, I think, is that I eliminated a bunch of stuff, like dairy, which I seem to be allergic to, and most sugar, and I cut back on meat. I also stop eating 3-4 hours before bed (I used to graze all the way to the pillow). And I've added a probiotic pill and fermented foods, which seems to have made my gut healthier. I'm honestly losing more weight than I "should" based on personal history, and I think it's because my gut is doing a better job handling food.

Loki, you are doing absolutely fantastic!!! Sometimes it is the doctor that slaps the ruler across our knuckles that is what makes us finally straighten up. I know mine did, and thank goodness for that!

Thanks for sharing your story. It is really good to be reminded that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to weight loss. Glad to hear you are feeling good and getting great results 😊
