I'm stuck at 148....I can't seem to loose these last 3 stubborn pounds.
I know it doesn't sound like much...but I'm getting a little frustrated,
I'm also changing my goal weight to 140...so.. 8 more pounds to go..

The last 3 pounds shouldn't be too high on your worries list after such an excellent effort. I would stick to your present plan and try to work it off with exercise. After weight loss we need to work hard to tone our bodies and even after you lose the 3 pounds (make sure you reach that goal!) you may not feel totally finished. Good Luck!

It's psychological. You get soooo close that you almost start sabotaging your efforts to lose that last little bit because...where do you go from there? You even wanted to change your goal weight just so you could stay on the program. Everybody feels this way. It's almost too scary to reach your goal weight because that represents a new set of challenges, like maintenance. And if you gain back you feel like a failure. This phenomenon affects us in many aspect of life. Ok, this may not be your situation but I know it's mine! If I lose that last 5 lbs there's no excuse for not being happy, successful and in control of my life. I'm just afraid the last 5 lbs aren't the issue and I'd have to start thinking about what else is making me stuck in a rut! Well, this is your journal, not mine, so I'll shut up! LOL. Just thought I'd throw those ideas out there and let you decide if any of it fits. You ARE doing really well and your plateau isn't all that long so not to worry just yet. You'll get there!

When your body looses any amount of weight it begins to plateau. You have to pick up the pace on something. Challenge your body so it doesn't get "comfortable". Like most things your body begins to adjust to where it is and finds itself perfectly content. It thinks it's where it's supposed to be even though you feel otherwise. Make sure you're consuming 1200-1300 calories a day...even on SB. If you're already doing that then make sure the foods you are eating are "safe" without hidden carbs. DONT GIVE UP. Incorporate a workout. 30 minutes even. If you have 3lbs to go thats 9900 CALORIES YOU HAVE TO BURN! Insane, right? 1lb. has 3300 calories. If you cut say 200 calories and burn 300 calories during a 30 minute workout, it'll take you almost 20 days to loose 3 lbs. at 500 calories lost a day. Example, if I want to kick start my body, instead of 3 eggs at breakfast, I have 2 which deducts 100 calories. Maybe I don't NEED the cheese either so that's another 80 caories. Just two eggs and veggies. (I'm on phase 1)...DOes all that make sense?
