THE PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETE - Ready to start LCHF tomorrow!

I've got breakfast, lunch, and snacks (if necessary) prepared for work tomorrow. Dinner is up to my SO, but I've make it clear if; I'm doing this LCHF for two weeks and if the dinner he makes isn't in my LCHF parameters, I have a few reserve, quick-to-make dinner ideas for myself.

I've already entered my breakfast, lunch and snacks into my food journal, I will remove the snacks if I find I don't need them. I've been paying attention to my eating habits this weekend trying to find my "issues". First and foremost; I crave sugar. I'm leaving my morning tea; I've reduced my sugar in my tea to 10g (weighed), and I think if I am really careful, I can still do really well with my carbs. I might try to weigh out smaller amounts after a few days, and see if I can reduce the sugar in my morning tea even further. I had a bit of spat with my SO, and noticed I REALLY wanted to eat a bowl of cereal right after. Like I had the bowl and box ready to go before I thought about what I was doing. Guess I'm a stress eater.

200 was my breaking point. I will never be this heavy again. First goal will be getting to 170 - Then I will re-visit my calories and re-asses all my goals. Onward and Upward.

Have you tried stevia?! I love it!! Taste better than sugar to me. I hate any other sweeteners! Give it a try. The drops have 0 carbs!! Good luck - you can do this!!

love the stevia, but it is important to get the pure stevia. Trader joe's has it in both liquid and powder form. 100% pure stevia, no fillers.

Catkane8662 is right! Sorry I did not elaborate more about the stevia! We don't have Trader joes where I live so I order the drops ( 0 carbs) online through Amazon. Also, I can occasionally find the powder form at HEB that has <1 carb. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse!! I know that I am easily confused lol 💋❤️

I've tried Stevia before. I find it disgusting. It leaves the same after-taste as aspartame or sweet-n-low for me. I cannot eat or drink anything that says "sugar free". I just cannot stand the taste.

Dewy, I find pure stevia a little hard to take, too. BUT, if you get a blend of stevia and erythriol, it's much better, and still has 0 carbs! The erythriol is a sugar alcohol, and while it contains carbs, it has no net carbs because your body doesn't digest it. Truvia is one brand, and WalMart carries one called Pyure. It's still not going to taste like 'real' sugar, but your tastes will change if you tough it out. It's worth it! I can't stand the taste of sugar now.

stevia only works for me in acidic food or drink like lemon or coffee.

how about Swerve? to me it has not after taste and it doesn't seem to cause any cravings

For some reason any artificial sweetener, except Stevia, throws me off my weight loss and makes me want to eat too much of the sweetened food. So, I avoid them all but a few drops of Stevia.

Great job you. A journey of a thousand steps begins with the first step.

I like Truvia because there is not an after taste.
