Wednesday already...wow!
I just finished a marathon of watching Dr. Jason Fung's 6 part lecture. Whew! That's a lot of data! There's a lot of food for thought there, and may lead to another tweak in the plan.
One of my young friends came over yesterday with her 4-year-old son. He's a bright and beautiful child with an inquisitive mind. I hadn't really planned on giving them lunch, but my friend mentioned that she was hungry, so I pulled out some leftover chili and cole slaw. Of course, they were keto-friendly versions. Happy to report that they were still a hit. :)
While I was reheating the chili, I had an epiphany. I was telling my friend that it was hardly worth cooking any more, since my capacity for food has so diminished. I spend 30-45 minutes cooking only to sit down, take 4 or 5 bites, and I'm full. Sadly, I don't do well with leftovers. They tend to sit in the fridge until they grow fur, then get thrown out. So...what if I just eat mostly raw? Maybe cook up some boiled eggs and a couple of pounds of chicken thighs, and have them readily available for my meal each day. Something to ponder. It's hard to believe that this former foodie has gotten so blase about food. Now it's just fuel, not a driving passion. I never thought I would feel this way about it.
It's going to be hot today, so I really need to be conscious of hydration. Stay cool, buddies, drink water, and stay the course!

Bahhh, you know what rough patches do Little lady? They act like sand paper to knock off the rough edges we don't need. I LOVE the rough patches.
