The good: I have added significantly more weight in my workout routines. I have been doing the P90X which is a really tough workout for me but I increased the dumbbell weights so I can barely do 8 reps. My hope is getting my muscles completely spent in a shorter amount of time. These past two days since I did this have been torture to some degree since I am sore all over! Yesterday was my leg workout and my butt hurts from doing all the squats and lunges with added weight.

The BAD: They say you can't out exercise a bad diet. Well, last night was pretty awful since I got lazy and ate some very high calorie leftovers my friend left the other day. I really have to stop that.

Here's a comment that I would love to get your opinions on: I wish they would eliminate the hours between 9 and 11 so I don't go grab some stupid thing to eat as I catch up on the day's news. I think I eat more calories during this time frame than I probably do at lunch. I will get rid of this habit and be successful but I just wanted to share this with my buds and get your opinions.

If you live alone, the trick is not to have any of those stupid things in the house. It's hard to raid a bare cupboard. Which, of course, is no help when hot friends show up with sexy bottles of wine.

Yeah u just have to be strict, set a time and don't go past it. I would drink a green tea w coconut oil and ACV after my last meal to tie me over and if I got hungry I'd have another tea plain.

Over 30 yrs ago, I saw an Oprah episode where it was mentioned not to eat after 6PM. I tried it and to this day, no kidding, no matter how hungry I get, I never eat past 6PM. It just became a habit. Helps that I only go out to eat a couple times a yr. I am not suggesting anyone else do what I do. :)

As an intermittent faster, I try not to eat past 7pm most nights. I agree with Sugar...just gotta make it a habit, drink a lot of water during that time...and try to head to bed earlier if you can :)

That sounds like good advice. Thank you all. Sugar Waffle, my business keeps me on very strange and long hours compared to most 9-5 work hours. Since I own my business, I do work long hours and my Mercedes gets driven too much! So at times, lunch is at 6:00 pm. But I try to eliminate excuses and this, though valid, is a problem. Maybe I can realistically do a 7:30 cut off time though.

@KPW +1 The Disposal is Your Friend. Fire that Bad Boy Up and Put Him to Work. Wine is divine, especially when coupled with aerobics. Special K Chocolate (et al) = Disposal Fodder.

I think you can console yourself with the fact that you're having more fun than many of us are when your sexy bottles of wine come over.

Do a little exercise in that time and then you won't want to, It doesn't have to be big or a lot just enough to get your mind in the right frame. Of course you could just go to bed. =)

tv if full of nothing if not highly "dressed" food ads....I don't watch it and saw some commerical tv once and wondered how a person on any kind of food program could manage with this trap. Try reading?

Yeah kpwcalories, I could have it much worse! Lol. But even with this problem, I am still losing though very slow but steady. I would just love to do one of those BIGGEST LOSER moments and lose 9 pounds in a week! I usually watch the news bellcurvz, especially with the crazy things going on in politics at the moment. So I don't get those ads that often. Heck, I see more Viagra ads then food ads. Lol. Skwhite, I have trouble sleeping and have tried that but it just pumps me up more. I think I will do as one of you said, create a habit but an empowering one as Tony Robbins says.
