It has been 5 days since I have last lost a pound. It makes me question myself as to why am I working so hard, if I am not going to achieve my goal of at least 2 pounds a week. I have read other peoples pain about the plateau but you don't realize how much doubt and pain it does inflect on someone. It is like a self destruct mechanism that our body is saying NO NO I don't like these new habits, I'm tired of all of this walking lets go back to way we were..full, groggy, foggy and sleepy...I do know for a fact that I do feel better and the only thing different is there has been more walking and I have eaten one atkins bar for an evening snack for three days straight, so I am going to leave the atkin bar alone, I think it may be deterring my weight loss that my body may be fooled by it in some way and reacts like it is the real deal...So at this time, I am going to continue on this journey and hope that I take the right path. It all about the right choices and damn it I can have the body I want

You need to keep weight loss in a realistic perspective. Losing weight isn't an exact science and you can't make your body lose a certain amount. How much we lose is determined by our age, sex, genetics, type of food, how much food, activity levels, how much muscle we have on our bodies, etc. You had a big drop in the first couple of weeks. Now your body is adjusting. You might have weeks where you lose 4 pounds and weeks where you lose one. You might see a gain when you have done everything right (it's water weight and fluctuates all the time). You might be down two more pounds tomorrow. This is all for your health and to feel good about yourself. So just keep going and it will all work out. Your doing great.
