I don't like to be negative when I'm trying to do something positive but I really just need to get this off of my chest. I'm really disappointed in myself. When I started here and had to put in my current weight and my goal weight I was just disgusted and I still haven't gotten over it. My goal weight is where I was in weight just a year ago. It is hard for me to be honest with myself and admit that I let myself get to this point. Had I not done this, I would be starting from my "mini" goal weight and half way to my ULTIMATE goal weight. Ok, now for the positive! Would've, Could've, Should've. We all know these words. When I'm feeling weak, lazy, unproductive, helpless, ... like giving up... I will come back here and read my words. This time next year these words will only be bitter sweet!

Girl, we've all been there!!! Over a year ago I came here feeling exactly the same way about myself...disgusted. But it was good because it drove me to take the action I needed to take to change my life. It didn't happen overnight & at times it seemed like it was happening at a snail's pace, but with consistent effort & incremental progress, over time those increments have added up to something pretty awesome. Welcome to the site, can't wait to see you say the same a year from now. ;)

you bet! i actually started with the app on my smart phone and was pleased to find that there was a full website that had a community. I love the app. It is so easy to navigate and simple to track nutrition. The fact that I always have my cell with me leaves no room for excuses when it comes to tracking food. In fact, I'm making myself log everything before I sit down to eat it :)

Welcome back phat. I did the same thing last year. I found this online community because of the app on my phone. I started August of last year wanting to lose enough weight to be able to ride carnival rides with my kids the next year. Well I only last about a month. A year later here I am, I was right where I had started the year before and didn't get to ride with my kids at the carnival. But this time I'm sticking to it, and I've already lost 16 pounds. I just have to be patient, and like you said come back here when we feel like giving up. Good Luck, with support from everyone here we CAN and WILL do this.

i can relate to this all too well friendly555. i can't tell you how many times i looked back 1 year and said to myself "if you would've just stuck with it, you'd be where you wanted to be". when i looked back on the year that had passed that time flew by, but when i'm working on loosing weight, eating healthy, and excersizing, each day is a battle that never seems to end. i'm really trying to focus on THIS day next year. It seems like light years away, but in reality it's not and i don't want to say once again "if you would've just stuck with it". congrats on your successes so far. i'm always here to talk whenever you need a friend :) thank you!
