Day 18 of 60.
Smooth sailing, although organizing my multiple meals around the morning classes was a bit of a challenge. It worked out, and I found the convenience store downstairs is selling little pots of soup that are full of veggies and low calorie. I tried one for lunch and it was tasty. That brings to a total of two the items they sell that I can eat. I've been eating the other, onigiri, for lunch just about every day this week.
It took me until 5:00 p.m. until I could summon up enough energy to get to the gym. The best part of the gym on Saturday afternoons is that I can spend as much time there as I want. My workout doesn't change, but I spend a very long time in the bath. My gym is ridiculously expensive -- $150 a month at the current exchange rate, but it does have great bathing facilities. There are four separate baths: indoor, outdoor, a jacuzzi and a jet bath. There are also three separate saunas -- a standard hot sauna, a steam room and a cold sauna. (Not sure of the purpose of the cold sauna. Who wants to sit naked in a cold room?) After about an hour enjoying the baths, I came very close to achieving nirvana.
