Jerry I know you will be/ARE hurting.but that is no excuse to eat foods you shouldn't...... but.. if you would stop going off and on the low carb foods you would not get hungry like you are now.. I can not give in and eat any REGULAR FOOD or I am hungry for 2-3 days till i get it back outta the system.. the total low carb way of life is the only thing that has ever worked for me.. i do keep foods cooked up eggs..Steak,. chicken, beef.. bacon.. green beans ,salad ,S.F Jello,, so if i get to wanting something that is all i will allow me or I drink a bullet proof coffee.. that helps a lot.. now,, if you are not low carb you will be hungry all the time.. or i was and the 240# that are gone from me feel really good and not one bite is worth how i felt while i was carrying it.(really big my whole life). it took a long time,, but I DID IT.. I even went thu chemo and stem cell transplant and did not give in to the reg foods.. and all they had for one ,, was coffee or hot tea.. so i packed a lunch.. and took it when i was to weak to even carry the dang thing.. my Judy took care of me .. BUT IT CAN BE DONE... soon as you wrap your head around the fact that REG FOODS ARE POISON TO YOUR BODY... it sure is easier to stay the coarse and say NO.. than to fight with yourself about wanting the foods that are making it harder on you............I feel for you buddy you have done so well.... proud of you.. so keep a good frame of mind.. and eat only the foods that do not make you DEMAND MORE AND MORE..AND THEY ARE ALL LOW CARB.. but most of all.........your frame of mind plays a huge part in it all..

I have never found that "you should have" ever helped me. For some of us, overeating is a compulsive disorder, not the product of laziness, weak will, or hypocrisy. And even for those who are not actual compulsive eaters, but habitual binge eaters, I overeat often to stuff feelings I don't want to feel. I guess all I wanted to say here is that there is often more to overeating than meets the eye.

going off the phentermine (for the surgery) has made feeling hungry more noticeable, something I am not used to anymore....odd feeling...all my rules are firmly in place still, but it's like getting an ear worm and wondering 'where the f' did that come from?' On the stuff, eating was 'I guess I should eat something before I get shaky...' now it's 'I should eat something, I feel shaky, has it been that long?...' knowing how much lag time between eating when one is hungry and getting the full sensation took some experimenting to narrow down, but knowing (if you haven't figured out yours, do so!) and SLOWING DOWN! when you eat works on so many levels: 1st your not 'out running your body by putting in more than it can handle: 2nd taste, flavor become more integral and intern one cooking improves: 3rd texture, so many things feel....'enjoyable' to chew, things I never really paid attention to for so many years...try slowly eating a sharp cheddar and see what I mean. oh, good lord now I sound like Remy from ratatouille...I do know my personal cooking has expanded and improved. Odd.
