not feeling great today and I'm positive its self inflicted so I'm kinda pissed at myself. Mom brought some candy home last night. She asked me if she could and I said yes. But then I ate a few pieces.. ok like 10 pieces. Then we stayed up late last night and watched some shows and I was like hey, a sandwich sounds good so I had one then went to bed. Then today I woke up, had some coffee and Mom gave me a spam sandwich. I know she meant well and was just making me some of whatever she was having and I ate it, kinda like in auto pilot. Here's the good part... all that and the nastiness from last night and today wreaked havoc on my stomach and lets just say I lost my lunch two ways.. gross I know but Im kinda glad its out. I know better. This always happens to me when I try and eat normal.But I always ignore my own advice bc I want something bc oh that reminds me of when i was a kid, or its tradition. I'm an idiot. Tummy feels like a boulder was dropped on it. Could be all the abs stuff too.
Enough Oh poor mees! Resetting my day. Cleaning up the house. Popping some pork chops in the slow cooker. DH is bringing some homemade humus home from work (he's a chef), getting the veggie tray ready and pulled out the Halloween movies. We never getting trick or treaters bc we live in an apt building but we still prepare in case we do.
On a side note,a storm hit us hard last night. I woke up at 4 am and he house was shaking.It finally cleared but there are parts of my city/county and surrounding areas that got up to 10 in of rain and are flooded and we are still under flood watch. So hunkering down and staying in. Will try and either hit gym, which is my 1st choice or mini apt gym which is better then nothing. Hope every one has a safe and happy halloween! xoxo Andee

Remember.. it's a process and we are ALL works in progress taking it one step at a time. Also, lets be real.. eating "normal" or, the way that the rest of society eats, is not healthy, beneficial in any way, and is far from actually being normal for our bodies. So, don't be to hard on yourself because your mom is only doing what she knows. Days like yesterday will happen and that's ok. Just get back up and keep going. It's all good red. ;)

OH my 10 inches of rain!!! That's a lot in a short time! Amazing how your body reacts to junk food after eating healthy! Didn't know your DH is a chef. I don't think I've eaten "normal" since I was in my 20's so don't worry about it anymore. I had candy yesterday as well as it was everywhere at work. Milk chocolate mini candy bars, would have rather had dark, won't even track yesterday as I lost track. LOL Have a terrific day today.

Thank Ruthless.. I love how you always make me see things from a different point of view.. WF, yes, 10 inches... Im glad it didnt hit our area so bad.. Curses to the candy ..I expected it..I really need to find a healthy alternative. Maybe something paleo or gluten free wont rip my tummy apart.. Paleo candy? hhmmmmmm

It happened so log it and move on. Nothing more to see here. We all slip but the important part is how we react. We need to re-focus and get back on track. We have not lost unless we give up. I hope you can make it to the gym. Maybe borrow a boat :)

It happens, Red. I appreciate your honesty all the time. We had chinese last night - at least I did not over eat. I split the meal in two sections so some yesterday and then lunch today. It never tastes as good as we remember - and do NOT let your Mom sabotage you...stick to your plan!

Yes, I wish family and friends had more consideration for those who are dieting or at least trying to be careful with what they eat... the only solution is not to give in but it's not always easy as we worry we may hurt their feelings.

Your mom asked if she could bring the (Evil) carby candy into your home; I think that you know now that the word "NO" will be the simplest solution next time. Spam? Convince yourself that this is like eating cat food, and I think you'll be okay.

"eating normal" sounds funny to me. I eat Normal which is LCHF ,,other People eat unhealthy if you ask me the ones that eat processed carbs ,, and that's not normal LOL. I guess everyone's perspective of "eating Normal" is different .
