2000 Cals/day

50g of fat 150g carbs 220g protein

Today will be my last day training with the conjugate method, its leg day. Cardio only tomorrow, and then Friday I will begin training DTP style, starting with chest and back.

I have to be prepared to lose some strength, but I'm going to do my best to keep as much lean mass as possible by not dropping below 100g of carbs over the next 8 weeks.

Current 1 rep maxes:

Bench: 245 lbs.
Squat: 275 lbs.
Deadlift: 365 lbs.

For me, the butt is an unintentional consequence of a strong set of legs. Haha.

there was a time I ate 300g. Until I learned how much of it was just being wasted. 180g seems to be optimal for me for muscle building, but since I will be trying to lose some fat without losing much muscle, I'm upping it to 220 to help prevent catabolism. same reason why I'm not going below 100g of carbs. Carbs and protein are muscle sparing while trying to lose 'weight'!

I agree with your statement above. Before I upped my carbs to 100-120g a day, I tried to eat around 50g while working out every day. I felt like crap and my body would not repair quick enough for my next workout. I was always sluggish. I think people forget how important healthy carbs are in a diet, specially for people who are very active

Carbs are very important. Unless you are losing weight through diet only with little or no exercise, all you do by cutting carbs completely out is make the process miserable. Like you said though, healthy carbs. wonder bread and bonbons don't do you any good no matter what! ;-)
