LISfifty's Journal, 20 October 2015

This is not my weigh in day so I will not record it. Hope I can hold onto the loss. 144.8. Finally under 145. That's 15 pounds lost. I am sooooooo happy! Almost time to go clothes shopping! I am leaving town in the morning to be with my son who is having eye surgery. Please keep him in your prayers and for me to have a safe trip. I have about 7 hours to drive. Also, I do not want to sabotage my weight loss regimen. Often a trip will do me in. So I am taking food and some minimal workout equipment such as exercise bands, and the hotel will have an exercise room. Very often well intentioned friends want to feed you, so I will need to be pre-determined to avoid the - oh well, I may just have to discourage the food events. I would have to disappoint myself or them. Then the other is to avoid snacking my way down the road. Looking forward to the trip, and I will make a point of getting to the beach while there. On the other hand, I will record my weight, since I will not have my scale on weigh day. Blessings to each of you.

God still answers prayer. My son's surgery went better than expected according to the surgeon. He tolerated it well, and his vision, once the inflammation goes down, will be a little better. He was comfortable driving before I left, and I got the honor 😝of cleaning his house. With the rain coming in from Texas I thought I should get on the road. I had a great trip, not even stopping for anything. I wanted to get home. I never got tired for the six hours. I think the walk before leaving helped energy-wise. Silly enough, I was curious to see how the vegetables were doing in the raised garden bed. The turnips are shooting up. So excited. This is my first experience with a fall garden and raised bed. Thanks for your support. You guys really help me to be motivated with your own journals and support. Blessings on your day!
