nicholaix's Journal, 23 April 2015

I am doing OK running but I need to up my (fat) calories. Without dairy, too many carbs, or processed foods its a challenge. I wish avocados grew in the Northeast lol. I still have a tough time sometimes getting my thoughts away from "BAD BAD fat!" It's so ingrained in my thinking.

By the numbers I am losing about a half pound a day, which matches my calories deficits. The first half marathon is in a month, hopefully I can keep the momentum going. I am hoping for 10 pounds a month, I will be ecstatic if I can meet that goal.

So.... any useful ideas for meeting my future ex-Mrs. Nicholaix?

I predict the future ex-Mrs. Nicholaix will find you at the marathon. :)

The low fat concept is ingrained in me too. I have to fight the urge :). I try to not look at the fat % on the pie chart as much and concentrate on the macros of carbs and protein. Of course, using mostly good fats. I changed my settings so I wouldn't dwell on the fat grams. I can say, in my case, with two sets of exes, just smile and nod. If more conversation is needed, I would keep it light and completely of ex topic :).
