Today, Monday, June 22, is the first "real" day of the kids' summer vacation. We're going to try to go to the gym daily; so I am hoping to get a good variety of exercises. I'd like to strengthen my core muscles.

The weekend was not great, dietwise. What else is new? I'm going up and down the same ten pounds over and over. I know I'll conquer this eventually, but I have to remember that it's a daily struggle that I can't ever ease up on. I need to remember not to lose grip, not to indulge. I tend to forget that people who stay slim are really always watching their diets. I reward my efforts with food, which is counterproductive. I'm still learning. I'll get it. Okay. No more complaining. On to today's events....

I suspect that it's true that many people who *stay* slim (and aren't just naturally so) are always watching their diet. Overeaters Anonymous is good at emphasizing what a formidable adversary one's appetite is. You do well to watch yourself so closely, it really is what is required. Keep at it, it's just a matter of time before you find the proper balance.

You'll get there, I'm sure! One of the things that's worked for me is finding healthy treats that I love and can indulge in that won't upset the balance of things. Great plan to get to the gym! You can do it!
