Does any one use the low carb frozen meals by Atkins? I just got a few and they are really good but I'm worried that they might mess with my loss like the bars can sometimes do.. I know if i eat to many bars/shakes i stall and then when i take em out and eat only fresh I'm fine so i eat the bars moderately and more like a last resort if Im in a pinch or as reward/dessert type snack after a long work out.. I love the Atkins breakfast.. and since breakfast is the hardest meal for me to put together, they are perfect..Would love to hear everyone's feedback.

My husband and I both did the Atkins diet for awhile but it messed with my husband's labs and we had to quit. I am trying to use portion control right now and not having much luck. If I get going on something that allows me to eat loads of fatty, high calorie stuff and still lose weight; I'll be in Heaven. lol.

Sorry, I can't help with the frozen meals, but the bars are like candy to me. Just as addicting and trigger self-destructive behavior. Give the breakfasts a try and see what happens. Are you using the food tracker? When I avoid the food tracker I know I'm setting myself up for a binge.

Have you tried preparing like an egg and meat "scramble" for the whole week that you can just warm up in the morning? It only takes about 10 minutes to make, then you can put it in individual containers. In the morning, sprinkle some cheese on top and pop in the microwave! Healthier and cheaper!

I don't have any issues with the bars. I can eat one or even 2 a day with no stalls. I was thinking about trying the frozen entrees but I'm a little worried because I have found that based on my tracking I usually tend to lose the most weight when I eat whole foods on Atkins. I may give them a try though as my "in a pinch" foods.

i noticed all the frozen meals have like 5-7 net carbs.. that alot when your trying to stay under 20.. maybe Ill save em for emergencies. Kinda like with the bars, I only use em if I have to or like a reward..

I have eaten a couple frozen meals... I like them, but I try to only eat them occasionally. Not sure if they'll slow my weight loss or not, but too afraid to take that chance! So I keep them for when I'm desperate, that way I can at least eat those and not something else that'll def ruin my diet, lol! I do the same with the bars...

i never touch the bars, but normally eat a frozen atkins meal for lunch every weekday and have never found them to be a problem. my favorites are the chili and the chicken & broccoli alfredo. i mix an ounce of cream cheese into the bowl once heated (mush it up until it's melted). this help keep my fat up and makes them creamy and filling. i can easily fit the 5 net carbs each of these has into my daily carb limit (the 2 kinds i buy are, i think, the lowest carbs of any of the meals). what usually stalls folks is the imitation sweetener (sugar alcohols such as malitol) in the bars. i don't know because i don't eat them, but i assume the same sweetener is in the desserts.

Be careful w all of the sodium. The sodium content is very high and can cause you to retain fluid.
