What are you saying? Are you saying that even though you are not dieting, you are still losing weight, or that you can't stop dieting?

Maintenance is it's own monster...but you'll adjust. Just add quality calories; not junk ones.

both. im still counting calories and freaking over too many carbs and I don't need to. I'm under eating. by a lot. I promised myself I would maintain at 115 and I still don't allow the snacks. I get plenty of protein and veggies and fruits.. my calories are still around 1000 and they should be 1200-1400...and my carbs are about 75 - 100... when I should be 125-150. my protein is between 50-70 so I have energy and I feel great but I know I need to snack more and I just don't. its been a problem before... I started drinking some of the carbs (fruit smoothies made from frozen fruit) to add carbs and calories but im when I do I skip a meal cause I slowed my metabolism so much that it keeps me full for hours...

im good with nuts. I can get in a few here and there but by a few I mean I eat 3 or 4 almonds and then im good... I don't have any drive to keep eating them. I just like to taste it and move on...

You said this happened before. How did you deal with this before?

I'm on the cusp of maintenance right now and I know it's going to be a formidable challenge. It seems like it's such a delicate tightrope act.

I didn't deal with it before.. I got pregnant lol and I am NOT doing that again lol... this is the first time ive had to figure this out. my stomach is so shrunk that even when I say im gonna eat what I want tonight.. I eat half a burger and im full. so I try to snack inbetween the next morning... and my brain is screaming at me - you cant!! you ate bread! white bread!!! and so I have a nutrition bar mid-morning and cottage cheese for lunch... sigh

I second what mgrill said. It's easy to feel guilty about eating white bread. I've found that the healthier and more nourishing choices I make are the easiest to justify and feel good about giving them to my body.

really I need to up my metabolism. I am on a new med for my migraines and its also an appetite stimulant but its not working as one.

I've added about 200-300 calories in maintenance. I add things like nut butters, and avocado. My favorite post-gym snack is a banana w/ almond butter, and I eat a half an avocado a day. Once you get in the "new" routine, maintenance isn't too bad, and it allows for a few 'indulgences' here and there. You'll get there. And just like everyone was here at FS to help you with loss...there's plenty of advice for maintenance, too.

Go see a nutritionist. You have an eating disorder. I struggle too. There is help available. Look into EDA meetings in your area (check out the EDA website for more information.

Remember, its just as unhealthy to be underweight as it is to be overweight

I do know. I appreciate it. this has been my problem since I was about 13. but really helpful tips on snacks and such help too...

I think you should really listen to Cora, she seems to know what you're going through and maybe buddy up with her. I totally support you going to a nutritionist and getting some help with this. There are things that we sometimes need help with, as we're too involved to be able to see clear into it. I worried about you from your first post. You have (3) beautiful kids that need a healthy mother. Do it for them. It's easy to slide into a serious disorder when it's about food. Tackle it now before it overtakes your life. I know I sound preachy, but I've seen a lot of painful situations and really hope the best for you. And remember what Cora said, it's as unhealthy to be underweight as it is to be overweight. I'll stop now b4 you unbuddy me! Health is always about balance.

You can just unbuddy me too the because I agree with Nowiunderstand. You need to seek some help before you get so bad your health begins to suffer. If not a nutritionist, then a psychologist. Good luck!
