Rollercoaster action. Pandemic weight gain with less movement. Working remotely. Stress eating. Nearly giving up, ready to die. My mother says no dying before her. A friend offers me a teaching opportunity in Hawaii. I cannot travel as I am. Recommitted. Getting travel healthy by April is the goal.

Get out and walk after every meal. That alone helps utilize some of the carbs you just consumed. Pursue whatever level of activity your current weight will allow and move forward as you can. Decrease processed foods, fast foots, added sugars. You see a doctor I see. are you healthy enough for exercise? Ask for a referral to see a dietician who can help you make a menus that will work for you and take into consideration your genetic makeup. We have several people who were at or close to your weight who have succeeded. You can do this. Lots of support here if you will just make yourself stick with it.

I also gained 20 pounds between March 2020 and March 2021 for the same reason. Thankfully my gym reopened late March 2021 and I made some big changes in my eating habits starting early April 2021 and lost the 20 pounds plus an extra 5, by the end of November 2021. I’m now below my original pre-pandemic weight and I’m just gonna keep on going. It takes work, that’s for sure, but it can be done!

Make awesome choices. You are what you eat, afterall. Eat more greens, drink more h2o than usual, chew sugar-free gum, play online games, read or listen to audio-books, dance to your fave music and sing too. Meditate on what you want for yourself going forward. Talk to us more often. We're hear/here for each other. We are all here for the same reasons, mostly, but whatever is bothering you, please, don't go it alone, o.k.? Lastly, put yourself in whatever higher-being you relate to and have faith in yourself and in the higher-being too. All will be well with you. I know it will. Just don't do it alone. Stay safe, healthy, happy, and keep moving all ways. =)

Motivation to go to the gym got better for me when I stopped doing cardio and starting tracking my weight lifting and following a routine. I can lift heavier every time I go in, which means I am gaining muscle! And my weight is slowly dropping so I’m also losing fat. Then taking two long walks each day to get in enough steps
