steadytejay's Journal, 23 March 2011

I'm starting to get really discouraged. It's been a few weeks now and I still haven't lost any weight, even with 4-5 days a week of a mixup between cardio (spinning and running on the treadmill), body pump classes, and yoga. Every day I have a calorie deficit, and I've even started a new job which keeps me on my feet, yet I still haven't seen results.

What the heck is going on? I'm just so disappointed. What's even making me upset more is the fact I'm losing this weight for the second time since I gained 12 pounds during winter. Oy, I'm just not having a good day :(

Thank you so much for all your advice. I think I'm going to try calorie zig-zagging and begin taking my measurements instead of letting myself get let-down by the scale constantly. At least with measurements I can actually see the results. Fit Club - the picture on my profile is from last summer when I was 5 pounds away from my goal weight (130). I'm 140 now and I'm just strictly looking to lose that weight again, then start body building. I took the body pump class now because I've been told that you should always have some resistance training in your workout routine because building muscles increases your metabolism. I'm really hoping it's just the water retention which is causing my plateau.
