I'm so excited. I was in a plateau for two months! I spoke to a gentlemen on a ketogenic wall on facebook. He suggested I increase my fat to 80%, but lower my protein to 60 grams or less. Its been five days and I've lost 2.4 lbs. I am so excited! Can't wait to see what happens in a months time.

If you search for Jimmy Moore and Diane Carpender, you'll find lots of info regarding the increased fats like he suggests (and recipes, etc.). They both have tons of info on their web sites.

That's great you got the scale moving again. I would be a little afraid of eating 80% of my calories from fat every day (except for a short time). Heart disease runs in my family.

Suzi there is new science on consuming fat! It does not cause heart disease, and consuming high fat helps those with diabetes if they follow low carb.

Atkins started that ball rolling and was accused of being a quack! But I did Atkins and lost all kinds of weight. (I didn't do it right, the way I did it was unsustainable.)
