Another pound down. I'm beginning to feel a bit boring. Sticking to the diet reasonably well and no cravings or binges. FIL still in hospital and ward still quarantined due to sickness bug. Swimming this morning - weather cold and very windy again and more snow forecast so I've had a day of evaluating where I've got to. One more pound and I'll have lost 10 stone since I started over a year ago - that's a whole person! I've also learned a lot 1. If I don't track religiously I under estimate what I've eaten badly 2. The taste of food only lasts while I'm eating it and in my memory, is it worth the waste of calories eating off plan? 3. What simon scale says is just that. Its out of my control and I won't let it alter my mood for the day 4. Some things are impossible at the start but broken down into small bits become possible 5. A big dinner means I have a smaller lunch and breakfast - eating is about balance 6. In the future there will be some things that I will only have occasionally or in small amounts if I want to maintain. 7. Last and most important I am not alone or unique in my journey but I am a unique and individual person who deserves to be the best she can and with the help of my FS buddies I will get there.

If it's boring, it's because this healthy eating and exercise thing has become a way of life - not something you have to struggle with every day! That's a good thing! I enjoyed your 'lessons learned' today. Thanks for sharing! I hope your FIL is well soon.
