Bummer to hear that. It's a shame when we can't talk about the important things to the important people...

Some people just don't get it. Especially if they think they are right. Huge hugs!!

According to him I should be losing at least a pound a DAY so I must be doing it all wrong... Ugh...

Ack! You'd have to starve yourself! I remember my father telling me that I was so fat that if somebody told me to haul a**, I'd have to come back for the other half! Don't listen to him. Just smile at him, pat him on his head while shaking your head and saying "Oh, father...". It's pretty much all you can do! :oD

He also says stuff like, "You know if you lost 50 pounds you'd be really pretty." Gotta love the back-handed compliments. :P

that is so insensitive. So sorry :( Are you married? If not, just don't marry a man like your dad...that would be terrifying to hear that negativity every day w/ no escaping it. Ugggh. I feel for ya.

Yeah, he was born without a sensitvity gene. I just shake my head at him now, it's annoying but those comments don't bother me like they used to. :) I am married and my husband doesn't seem to care how much I weigh, he always tells me I'm HOT. :) My 7 year old asked me if I was pregnant again though... Ah, kids... lol! And thank you Evie, that's sweet of you to say. :)

You are welcome - it's so true. Happy you have such an encourager for a hubby! That's awesome. And kiddos, don't ya love 'em? Wickedly honest. It can be brutal. Hang in there "hot" stuff. hee hee!

It was so funny when I was pregnant (my baby is now amost 18 months) the now 7-year-old and I were in the dressing room at Penny's and he said, "Mommy, your belly is getting big but your butt's getting really big too!" I told him it was just God's way of evening things out so I wouldn't fall over. There were a few chuckles fro the other dressing rooms. :)
