I've been trying to go to the gym in the mornings instead of after work. The house is too busy for me to go at night. I feel like I need to be home in the evenings. Unfortunately I have been waking up lately from 3 to about 4:30 a.m.- sometimes earlier and sleeping poorly makes me unable to wake at 5 and get to the gym. I have been having the most unsettling and disturbing dreams. I don't know if it is stress from work or some kind of omen at this point (prayers appreciated, BTW) anyhow- So tonight- in the dark, cold, rain/snow mix- I headed out with the hubs. What a wonderful support! Neither of us wanted to go. Had either of us said-"Let's just stay in" the other would have completely caved. But we pushed through. I bet I yawned 8 times between home and the gym. I'm thankful for my dear husband and workout partner and his commitment to being strong and healthy. I'm also thankful for my warm bed that I am about to climb into and give this whole sleeping thing another shot. I hope you all find your own Diablo in life if you haven't already. How lucky am I? 💪🏻🤸🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♂️💗❄🥱🌨

Is something going around? I too have been waking up between 3-430 am and by 10 am I'm so tired I can't focus.. sometimes I take a nap but it's been going on for 2 weeks. It's making me more loopey than usual..lol. Hope you get a better nights sleep! 💜💜

Diana, it may be something global, because I am too waking up between 3 and 4 am, sometimes for an hour or more but I manage to get back to sleep. I think the pandemic and everything it involves is taking its toll on our mental peace and in our case it shows through our sleep issues.

DP, I so much can relate! Before the pandemic, I used to go to the gym in the evenings and it was quite a feat for me to arrive on time for my class. Many times I just wanted to stay in, but I felt so happy after the gym sessions that most of the time I managed to force myself to leave the house. It is so true that you never regret having worked out, you regret the times you stayed home!

Thanks, all! Slept ok last night. I know I dreamed something because it is on the tip of my mind but don't recall it - which is wonderful. Yes, Eva! I always feel better after I go to the gym.💕 I've heard when you continuously wake in the middle of the night that you are supposed to pray and God is trying to get your attention. I fail at that, too. It's usually very quick and something like "please, God, let me sleep". I need to get better with that! Hope we all sleep well tonight! But for now, happy Saturday!

I struggle with lousy sleep too sometimes. I still force myself to get up at 5. What really helps me is that I drink a glass of C4 Preworkout. Totally wakes me up and helps me force myself to get to the gym. You could start out with half a scoop if you want to see what it’s like. Don’t worry it won’t make you jittery or hyper or anything. Just gets you going.

What's in it? Never heard of it. When I go to the gym in the morning, it's after a cup of coffee (big cup). 😊 When I go at night, I just go and power through easily, really. But I can't imagine having a decent workout if I've been up since 3. Don't know that I've tried it.

Awww that’s great you guys are supporting each other! I hope you can get better sleep 🙏🏻 melatonin helps me a little bit. Could be worth a try.

Haha- He works 3rds Petra- so I have the whole bed to myself. No one to blame. :( Thankfully though- he doesn't snore. He does make weird noises and moves when he is dreaming- just like Buster- but at least it isn't a snore. 😂

Yes, Dawnie- he is a great support. We have often talked each other into pizza, too. :) It can go both ways. haha. I have tried Melatonin. I was afraid to try it and then when I finally did- it didn't work. Oh well. I am usually ok on whacky sleep- it was just the dreams that were/are throwing me off.

These sound like our mornings. We’re making it for the 6 am workout a couple times a week, but getting in at night and weekends 4 times or more a week. The sun needs to come up earlier! Come on Spring! You can do it!!!

Oh DP, not being able to get good sleep is awful, but add to it the nightmares and it can drive you insane! Prayers sent. There are many reasons why this could be happening, but sometimes figuring them out is really hard and time consuming, especially when you need a solution NOW. I do know that creating a routine at night is helpful. Basically, it's all about sending ques to your body and mind, that it's time to shut down. Maybe looking up bedtime routines and habits and trying some to see if it helps. It does take commitment, but you've already got that down. Sure hope you are able to get some good restful sleep soon. Oh and yes, having a Diablo like yours is a true blessing, but don't forget, you are also one to him. <3
