livelifefully's Journal, 18 January 2009

Well, it was a pretty good week. I got my 5 days of exercise in and took off the 2 days I worked. (I acutally did do 20 min. of floor on one of those days too.) I ran the last 3 days in a row and did floor toning too. Tomorrow I will hit the gym again for weights and probably biking and elliptical.

I am back to setting weight loss goals on a timeline so I don't just keep hanging out around this weight forever. I would like to be 137-138 by the end of this week, and 136 by the end of January. I can do this if I stay focused. My problem times are the weekends b/c we eat out or have events a couple times and I get too many calories in, so even though weight is down in the week it goes back up on the weekends. It's been a cycle of that for a long time for me, but eventually will burn enough that I go down a pound. I did eat out and enjoyed myself but stopped when I was full. We will see how the scale looks tomorrow morning.

Another revelation I had the other day was I held a new 5 lb. bag of sugar in my hand. This was fairly heavy. I thought, wow, even taking off 5 lbs would feel better on my back and everything else. Hold one if you have it and see what you think. I bet it would even help with speed in running, etc without having a little extra weight on there. I would like to hit 134 for my triathlon on Feb. 22. That one will be the smaller timed event for my first one.

Well, I hope you all have a happy, healthy week!

You do such a great job with the exercise! It would be great to reap the rewards of all that work. Eating out was my downfall, too, at one time. I don't do it very often any more and try to do salads when I do go out. I know it's not as fun, but the fun comes when you weigh in! I told Lee I want him to take a picture of me holding a 50 lb. bag of something once I hit that milestone (hopefully soon!) Have a great week!

You continue to inspire me with your dedication to your triathalon training. I'm so psyched for you! The weekend splurges are hard to resist sometimes. Maybe try to "pick your poison" and only allow yourself to indulge on one day per week. Might help!
