I was going to order out at work--a salad. Good right? Not at all. The place they were ordering from had funky salads filled with cheese, olives, pickles, eggs--all "fattening and high sodium" items. I could have just ordered the chicken and lettuce, but why pay ten dollars for that? I decided not to order. Here I sit eating a teaspoon of peanut butter on one slice of pumpernickel bread. No complaints. My goal is set and I'm moving forward. Every time I go to the ladies room I look at how yucky I look in these tight clothes (even after losing ten pounds!) and it motivates me. I keep a picture in my mind of new outfits in June--with a few more curves, hopefully! LOL.

New clothes have been a big motivator for me. I keep buying 4" smaller waists. One pair. That lets me into new clothes so I am encouraged, but doesn't let the new size pile up. I also went front large fit shirt to tapered recently. Those I'll be able to continue to wear because my shoulders won't be getting any smaller. :) Congratulations on passing up the obscenely priced salad.

Oh, I can't wait to get new clothes--and tapered, at that. I have a while to go, but reading your post really motivates me! I can't wait! Congrat's on your progress, also!

I almost always pack my lunch too. It seems to be the only way I can get what I need - and can afford.

I usually lunch out one day a week. I couldn't see paying ten dollars for lettuce and chicken from this place (telling them to keep everything else off). It didn't bother me. At first I was a little disappointed, but after, I think I was so proud and happy that I didn't give in to those calories. I'm on a mindset and know what I want. LOL. I think the key to weightloss is making sure you have things available ahead of time--healthy meals and snacks.
