2588 CALORIES in this post-workout meal!! I'm done for the night, I think lol. 2hrs annihilating my chest and back, so this was definitely earned and necessary:

(1) More of that spicy garlic carrot salad stuff.

(2) Cheese and potato pierogies with Fage greek yogurt (instead of sour cream) and balsamic vinegar.

(3) A bowl of amazing, rustic stew I made this afternoon in the crock pot; took all of 20 minutes to make. Just beef round, unpeeled carrots, and whole little yellow spuds around with salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, and love.

The reason for the stew?

(4) An enormous loaf of Russian rye bread and a buttery roll filled with dill and some unidentifiable European cheese that's light like cream cheese, yet slightly crumbly. Both warmed in the oven before serving 😍

Oh. And then cake happened.

All finished Russian-ing.

Tomorrow brings Red Robin 👌

Darn, that looks good, especially the perogies. Used to make them while in Canada. Good with butter and fried bacon. Lol, being in the south now, they call them pot stickers.

Canada is where I also became a perogie lover! Perfection when fried beautifully and topped with rich sour cream, fried onions, and freshly crisped bacon. Vinegar of any kind put on a perogie should get you imprisoned...

Nope!!! Don't do both! Just use nonstick pan with oil in a thin coat on the bottom. Add a single layer of perogies and a little water... Like half a cup. Cover and let boil, remove lid when getting done. Steam will evaporate and now you are frying! Flip them when one side get brown. Done!!! 😁

Wow! That cheese thingy sounds like a vatrushka, which I haven’t had since I was a kid! 😍 This is making me so hungry. The stew looks perfect, you’ve inspired me to do the same! Sounds pretty easy. If you added bay leaves and cooked it a little longer, this would have totally resulted in zharkoye, which is only the best beef stew in the world. 🤤 And I love that you use yogurt instead of sour cream - smart. I grew up with those potato dumplings being called vareniki and they’re my favorite. They are sometimes filled with cottage cheese and can be eaten for breakfast. Wow, I’m drooling, lol. Pierogies are technically those hand pies that you had yesterday with the cabbage. And I see that balsamic, dude! So weird. Love this feast, you’re doing it right!
