Taysmama32's Journal, 12 November 2010

The weekend is slowly approaching and already my temptations are being tested. By the time clock sits a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for a co-workers birthday. By the copy machine sits a big box of 2 dozen assorted donuts and creme sticks!! Aaahhhh Already?!?! So I went to my office and pulled out my Quacker Carmel Corn Rice snacks at 60 calroies, not the healthiest/nutritional choice for breakfast but much healthier than the above 2 options!! Bring it on weekend... I WILL WIN this one!

So, I am guessing you are on calorie counting...good on ya! The hubby and I have jointly decided to cut down on the crap and eat healthy. We are both doing pretty good. It isn't fair that he can lose much faster than I can, but I get to appreciate the results :) I would suggest a spike day to help with the taboo foods. Once a week you eat what you want.

Mammasix - - Yes I am doing the Calorie count, I was also trying to mix in the WW points... but I want to see how doing just calories will work for me. And so far so good! TheBake - - I WAS SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!! I had a weight loss which was great. I limited my alcohol intake to only 3 drinks all weekend, which is what REALLY got me last weekend!!! Also all day with football and food sitting out, I did munch... A LOT but I found myself munching on carrots and celery and tomatoes =) then of course at meal time Cheese dips and chips and salsa and meatballs... but atleast I was "munching" healthy haha.

Try not to go under 1200 calories a day. You will cause a plateau as your body will think that there is a famine.

I don't usually have to worry about that... let's say I never have before, but now that I am eating healthier I find myself actually having to eat something with more calories to get over 1000 or 1200.... rarely do I actually eat my 1900.... besides, wouldn't my body only recognize it as famine if it was a shock? Say If I gradually got down to 1200 cal a day and then below my body would be used to it then right? eehh not like I have to worry about that, I like food and sometimes the wrong foods haha. Thanks All =)
