First night back to my local gym...It was OK...equipment was open and it was not crowded. I am not a fan of working out with a mask on but I got through it. It was funny because I think I have actually grown fond of the outdoor calisthenics that I was doing on base. I appreciate the ability to get back on the cardio equipment, but I think I am going to keep doing to grass drills in addition to the gym routine. The gym people seems less friendly and enthusiastic about their work outs - it just felt weird. either way I am committed to my goals so I will just adapt and overcome. I hope that you all find a way to embrace what ever challenge comes your way and conquer it with grace and dignity.

Out of curiosity, are masks required? I'm in Arizona and I wear a mask but I see a lot of people without them. That said, I'm not brave enough to go to the gym yet.

Joeimel - the Gym I go to requires masks. Some people are unclear of what the word required means...I wore mine and the equipment is spaced apart. THe other part is there was very few people at the gym. I felt safe but I also feel safe most of the time with no mask on. Do what makes you feel comfortable.

I’m glad my gym doesn’t require masks. I struggle enough to breathe when I’m on the treadmill. I’d be worried about passing out. Masks seem to suffocate me even when I’m just sitting in the doctor’s office.

Vampirekitchen - I was just worried about water boarding myself as I was sweating...LOL. I agree with Chrisw - I am going to keep working out..one way or another... Fitness is the key.
