Yum yum yum! I love everything you prepare! I love making my own hummus too, although mine always comes out too nutty.

Too nutty from the chickpeas or from the tahini? I thin mine with olive oil and water and may or may not use a few drops of sesame oil depending on what I’m making it for.

Looks good! And your umbrella providing a rosy glow? How lovely to be able to eat outside!

I think the tahini! I’m not a huge tahini fan. I’ve tried using only a little and that’s still all I taste. I think I need to use more oil next time. I like a really mild flavor, like Sabra’s hummus, but mine always comes out very strong. Please post pic of yours if possible! 💖

Try skipping the tahini and using more lemon juice instead. And there's nothing wrong with water instead of oil if you want to reduce the calories. It's mostly about keeping it smooth. You can use toasted sesame seeds instead of tahini which may also help keep the nuttiness at bay.

Tried an experiment andI left both the tahini and the sesame oil out this time and went heavy on lemon juice and used fresh garlic. A new olive oil, I like it. Domestic, from California. I forgot to toss the peppercorns in there, but it still tastes pretty good. No vampires tonight for sure. 🧛🏻🧛🏻🧛🏻
