day 11 of 40 day no food fast
and yaaaaay!! no bullion yesterday and 2lbs drop overnight haha....oh and shark week began yesterday so may be even lower after that's over. we'll see.

So it's day 11! wasn't hungry at all yesterday or this morning and feeling energetic and good.

I'm still having trouble with sleep though. I go to bed at 11pm and I'm WIDE awake at 2-4am wanting to work out...then if I can get back to sleep I wake up every hour! but, again, even though I do feel better on the nights I manage more sleep than others, I do not feel the exhaustion I would normally feel on such little sleep when I'm eating food...it's very strange. Someone on here recommended magnesium that might help and I tried it and no luck.

Also...when I say I wasn't hungry yesterday I just mean physically...mentally I want to eat, just because I miss it...I fantasize about it a.lot lol.

one of the things that's helping me do this successfully is that I avoid seeing food at all. I don't have a husband or kids and I usually eat alone in my cubical at work so I can easily avoid seeing it ever....my room mates do occasionally eat pizza in front of me and that's rough but I just stay focused on my goal...I'm over 1/4 of the way through...only 9 more days and I'll be HALFWAY DONE!

Good Job! - My theory on the sleeping when I am 'water fasting', I don't think I actually need the sleep if my body does not have the food to digest (Day 3+). Also, when my body is the 'burning fat for food' mode it is 'eating constantly' (this is why I have so much 'energy' all the time) - Good Luck!

I'm right there with you! I fall asleep ok around 1030 but then I start waking up around 1230 till around 330 or 4. Then if I fall back asleep bI wake up every half hour..ugh...I think it's age/hormones for me..

Fantastic update and amazing discipline. Melatonin is a good supplement for sleep - you would need to research the dosage that would suit you. I wish you all the best on this leg of your adventure.

That fast sounds very extreme. Good luck. I hope you don't get sick. I tried it some years ago, but it lowered my immune system and I got a really bad upper respiratory infection after a simple cold. Again good luck and keep sharing.
