Fritzy 22's Journal, 24 February 2020

I last posted my weight over 10 days ago and had gained when I did that. I've had a rough time with my eating for at least 10 days. I think it started after my doctor appointment and the diet he wants me to follow if I don't want to have my gallbladder out. Low fat. I don't have much variety in my diet anyway and now I need to give up eggs and red meat. And maybe cut back on nuts and avocado and olive oil. So I rebelled. I've made tacos with the small amount of ground beef I had in the freezer (I gave everything else to my sister). I ate chips and French fries. And bought 2 big pieces of cake from the bakery department in the grocery store. I bought 3 2 liter bottles of regular Coke and drank all 3 bottles within 5 days. So not only have I had fat, but also sugar. So the weight is up 5.2 pounds in those 10 days. One good thing is I started going to the gym. 2 weeks now.
I've had no problems at all with gallbladder attacks in spite of the high fat items I've eaten. Not sure why.
So I've been gone and I'm in one of my dieting "moods" where I don't feel like logging my food and am tired of eating what I need to eat to lose weight and equally important, eat food that will help with my health issues - gallstones and inflammation. Feeling like a whiner. Hope I can kick this mood and get back on track. No more impulses purchases at the grocery store. No more Coke or Pepsi. Lots of water. And I need to get back to IF - stop eating by 3pm.

thanks adef - wish I could log when I eat bad but just don't want to. I bought a loaf of fresh French bread the other day at the grocery store and ate several slices of it with butter and other things I just prefer to forget about and move on. Haven't really moved on yet. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. Melissa - thanks for your support. I've never really liked going to the gym but have had several memberships in the past. Maybe I'll enjoy it more now that I'm retired and everyone using the gym while I'm there are retired as well. I'm thinking gallstones must have passed and that's why I haven't been having pain. But I'm sure there are more building up as I consume fatty foods.
