Angela H's Journal, 01 May 2013

Well I went to run errands and as I was out, it felt as if that headache was beginning to come back. So I stopped and got a 6" sub from Subways.....oh and a cookie. UG!! I did drink plenty of water...at least 40 oz. before I got something to eat, also drank water with my lunch and that didn't include my two cups of tea early this morning so I think I'm getting enough fluids. I still feel a bit of a headache but nothing close to what it felt like the other day, and lets hope it stays that way. So because of this I have switched today to a feed day and will have my fast day tomorrow. :( I wonder if switching things up like this will mess me up??? Anyone, else do this??

Might be none of my business but I will say it anyway. You NEED to eat. Fasting is not going to do you any good. You should know that from the headaches you are getting. ----- Cycling I can see and understand. Different type of strategy. ----- Eat at least 1200 calories a day spread over three meals and snacks having fruit as the snack in between. --- Exercise is a critical part of this program. Please eat and exercise and you will be happy with the result. Buddy up with me if you want and I will try to assist as I can. For the record I am not a doctor or a nutritionist and this is only my opinion from my own experience. You will need to decide what is best for you and how to handle your diet. ------- However, if I can help I will.

deadcenter....I take all opinions....and consider them or don't. :) I've tried the 1200 call with a nutritionist and still didn't have a change in my weight. We believe that my metabolism is a bit off wack. Oh and please don't think that I don't eat on my fasting days...That is not possible. :) its not really fasting per say...more VLC. I still have 500-700 calories 3 days out of the week on fast days and then between 1200 to 1600 on my feed days. I do a bit of yoga but not much else as I tend to get out of breath so getting the weight off will be very beneficial to begin increasing my exercise routine. I am beginning to think that my headache is more from pollen then from what I'm eating or not. Though I ate something today thinking that the headache would subside, it hasn't and then some other symptoms came along that I also recall having on Monday...stuffy nose...eyes watering. I have terrible sinuses and having that green/yellow dust all over the place I'm thinking that, that is my problem. Thank you for your input but I think I'm going to give this a go and take it from there. :)

Have you considered that the headache might be your subconscious trying to "trick" you into not letting go of old habits? It tells you that you're gonna get a headache, and you give in. Would simply having water have been enough? If you did get the headache, but you simpy pushed through it, what would happen? How long would it linger? How much pain would it cause? Would it simply be like hunger - it just fades out after "it" realizes that you're not gonna budge and that there is no point in doing it? Just some thoughts. And no offense to deadcenter, but I don't think he/she understands the concept of intermittent fasting, as I believe you're doing. As long as your calorie averages are okay, you're doing fine. :)

why not try to make a juice out of the following : 1/2 pineapple 3-4 kale leaves 1 stick of celery 1/4 lemon 1/2 cucumber 1/2 inch ginger root because u fasting it will help with the headache

Kingkeld....you could be right there, never thought about that. The pain was absolutely terrible, it woke me in the middle of the night and I could feel it in my ears, never have had that much pain. Once I took some Advil went back to bed, I woke in the morning and it was much better. Everything is blooming over my way and with all the pollen I think it was due to allergies, plus I'm highly allergic to Ash Trees and there are many all over our property. I have to be more diligent in taking my allergy meds and I think I should be ok and the fasting days won't affect me. :)
