Fun morning. Got a text from my friend/former personal trainer from my kickboxing days and met up with her for coffee. I don't think I've seen her in about 5 years, and she said I look great. Which is really cool because I wasn't going in fishing for compliments and she'd be the first to call me out and tell me to move my butt. We also walked a good mile together and there was no huffing and puffing even though we went up a big hill pretty quickly. So, I'm quite satisfied with the day. I have to hustle and catch up on everything else I had planned now. Enjoy the rest of this day!

Edit to log activity. Pushup challenge from trainer. Real pushups, not wall, bed, knees. Push ups. I think I can knock out twenty. We'll know as soon as I change. Logging a change in the pool current. Going back a notch. I don't like the higher current, it sucks out all the joy and keeps my heart rate too high (almost anaerobic range) but mostly, I don't relax and empty my mind which is really a big part of why swimming brings me joy. I might switch it up every once in awhile and sprint, but going back down for normal lap swims.

Trying a new app called "zones" to track heart rate more closely during activities. That's part of what helped me decide to notch it back.

Time to swim after pushups. Yessssss... Got to 21 Y-style pushups before the dogs decided I needed help and I fell over laughing.

Ended up walking instead of swimming, the wind kicked up and it's too cold. Longer walk, ran into some friends, grabbed a water while they drank and then I came home for dinner because I didn't really have the calories banked. I feel so lucky to have good friends in this world. One day, two sets of people I love. Good day.
