60pack, BTW just curious, since your wife doesn't handle prep drinks well how does she handle anesthesia? My wife comes out of anesthesia the same way she handles the prep-drink.

adamevegod1, I know you asked this question of 60pack, but have same experience with both preps and anesthesia. I am highly allergic to sulfa. Many colonoscopy preps and most anesthesia drugs contain sulfa. Once this was discovered, haven't had any further problems. There are alternatives.

bbarcon, unfortunately I've had it done with the ad of four different prep drinks, and other than the inevitable cleaning (which is no fun in itself) I've never had any issue with it. My first experience was in 82/84 when I had to drink 6 green bottles of ick. The good and bad for me I can literally stomach anything, so if I have a bottle of icky stuff to drink I can turn off my reaction to it and down it in seconds. My wife can't and nurses it, ergo our tension as I encourage her along.

Glad your wife is resting. Vomiting once is my worse nightmare, can’t imagine 5 hours!!! My goodness. Hope she feels great when she wakes. 🙏
