I have been eating properly for the past few days, making lots of soup since youngest is still recovering from the flu and I have had a barking cough for several days. Merry Sickmas to our family this year. Hubby and oldest seem to have good immune systems. I hope that lasts. For now it’s rest, soup, and tea for me. Will weigh in on the 31st to see how I finish the year. Yesterday I met with a cardiologist and got good news. The enlargement of my right ventricle due to the pulmonary embolism I had last August is mild and will likely return to normal with, guess what, WEIGHT LOSS! I would say that’s a pretty good motivator to stay on my plan. I also need to reduce my triglycerides which means avoiding sugar as much as possible and being smart about how many and what types of carbohydrates I eat. Diet will be more important than usual as I can’t lift heavy weights yet, which really helps with triglyceride and blood sugar control. Once I kick this cough I will be back to walking and light weights. I can do this!
