kissangelgirl's Journal, 26 December 2019

Hello FS friends! I hope your holiday was full of love, laughter and making great memories.

I haven't logged since Monday evening and, to tell you the truth, I have no regrets.

The thing I WON'T do is guesstimate my food/calorie/macro intake. frankly, its not that important to me to even guess in the first place and secondly it would take up too much time and most likely won't be accurate.

What mattered to me more was spending quality time with my loved ones.

I just know that I enjoyed everything about holiday gatherings with family and friends. We danced, we sang, we drank. The food was plentiful. There were some things that I refused to eat (only because I'm smart enough to choose bad foods for different reasons). Didn't deprive myself. In fact, my activity for the whole day (I'm sure) kept me in a deficit so I feel good. Even if I over did it, is it really a bad thing? Nope.

New Year's will be a repeat. Every year we host both holidays and New Years is a bigger party~less intimate than Christmas.

We live in a small town so the tradition for us is to have family over for celebrations. The weather here in Michigan is usually sketchy so everyone plans to spend the night.

Whatever your plans are for the holidays ~ have fun, enjoy time with your loved ones, be safe and love yourself for making great choices.

ditto rosie's sentiments❣Also everything in moderation. to include moderation... lol. Life is short, we won't ever leave this gift of life regretting whether we did or didn't eat something, did or didn't do something, only the relationships we did or didn't cherish when given the opportunity. Merry Christmas!

Sounds so perfect! Why did I think you lived in Texas? I think I get people on here mixed up. So far I've no plans for New Years Eve. Hubby works and I wonder if I can stay up until midnight. 😆 ❤️

Great logic - I did log but I know it wasn't near accurate. Can't undo it because I ate what I ate so now I need to move on. I'm so glad you had a nice time - that is much more important. And I feel confident even though you weren't logging you were aware of your mindful eating.

I logged it all as accurately as possible. Tried to aim high but enjoyed it all regardless of accuracy. So good and didn't shovel it in for the first time in...well..ever. 🙃 And if I had shoveled it in, that's none of your business and I would still log it. 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

DP, too funny and so true. I had a huge scoop of queso on a tortilla chip and ended up with some of it my hair. My first thought was OMG that's what I get for having a pig moment LOL then I felt disappointed and just HAD to get another huge scoop.

kissangelgirl, did you get the heavy fog Christmas eve? It rolled in about 10 pm, fortunately, after I got home; then didn't clear up until lunchtime. MI weather . . .

I don't recall fog on Christmas Eve, but today is foggy as hell! And we're finally having Fall temps outside. MI is weird lol
