I got the pigging out of the way this weekend (think brie, wine, CARBS OVERLOAD) and today I am ready to get back into a good routine. Suprisingly I didn't gain any additional weight. I'm still 147-ish. I ate a healthy breakfast, measured out the portion to make sure I wasn't fooling myself, and have tons of nutritious snacks to last me clear until 930 PM tonight when I get home from my first evening of classes!

This weekend was fun. We sat in a TON of traffic going both to the beach and coming back but it was worth it. My dad was so happy to have both his kids visiting, he was extra jolly and energetic. He wanted the guys (my bro and Salem) to go kayaking w/ him on Sunday but it poured so sadly they didn't get to do that. We went to an Irish pub on Saturday night and for some odd reason they had a live funk band??? Would have thought it would have been something Irish lol.

We went to the outlets both Saturday and Sunday and I am proud to report that I didn't buy one thing!!! I kept saying to myself, do I really NEED this? And the answer was always no. Salem wasn't so frugal~ he got both a Puma jacket AND sweatshirt but at least they were both significantly cheaper than the real Puma store.

After groceries/fuel I am down to $47 in my checking account. Can I make it til payday (next Thursday) without whipping out the credit card?? Time will tell. Man this living w/in your means thing is a lot harder than I thought!!!

THREE THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR TODAY:
1)School forcing me into a more disciplined life
2)Getting to work early enough to have a decent parking spot
3)Getting to see my school friends tonight

I have always wanted to try that. Thanks for the coupon. Glad you enjoyed your weekend and awesome that it made your dad so happy. Good daughter Chris! lol Ashley was a good daughter this weekend too spending lots of time with me and making me smile. School is coming soon for both of you. Great job not buying and not using your credit card. I think you can make it Chris!

I love brie. There is a place in Asbury that does baked brie in a puff pastry with fruits on top... so yummy good! Good for you passing up on the discount malls - which ones did you go to? Jackson and Tinton Falls? Have a good one!

Sounds liek you had a great weekend- and got it all out of your system! Living within our means... well you are doing great- I couldnt imagine not whipping out my credit card... I am soo bad.... that would never last me until next thursday!!! I should try it sometime, hey I might end up saving some money! have a great day and glad you are doing well today and in the mood to lose lose lose!!

Hooray for you, I think overall you were aware of what you did and ate so thats great! Also a little tip, sometimes eating badly we too can ask ourselves "do I really want to wear that" (on my butt or hip lol) That may help you choose heathier portions :)

Glad to hear you had such a good weekend. As long as you are so focused on not using the credit card, it should be ok to use it occasionally if things get too tight. Have a good evening Chris.
