Bouncing back up a notch. That's okay. I'm used to this small pattern within the bigger trend down.

I made oats this morning with less milk than usual. Hubby prefers it with 1 cup water, 1 cup milk, and 1 cup oats. I cut the milk back to a half cup. And I'm still having that mucus cough problem, so no more dairy the rest of the day. I guess we could switch to soy or rice or coconut milk for creaminess in cooking.
188.2 lb Lost so far: 23.8 lb.    Still to go: 38.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 17 August 2010:
1124 kcal Fat: 48.62g | Prot: 71.10g | Carb: 112.90g.   Breakfast: flax seeds, cherries, cranberry green tea, peach, Quick Oatmeal (1 or 3 Minutes), milk. Lunch: olive oil, brussels sprouts, low fat yogurt, sweet pickle relish, apple, tuna in sunflower oil, flatout, Thai Coconut Chicken Soup. Dinner: grapes, onions, egg, squash, sirloin steak. Snacks/Other: peach, pistachios, Lindt 85% dark chocolate. more...

Good for you for not flipping out over fluctuations...lots of people do. :) Typically I only record losses here, but I'm thinking of recording daily in an Excel spreadsheet or something so I can better identfy how my body reacts to different things. You have a REALLY nice downtrend in your graph...way to go!!!

Having an upswing of a pound and a half the last few days too. I keep repeating to myself "3 days is not a plateau 3 days is not a plateau.." so I don't get frustrated. :)

Yeah, the fluctuations are not anything to stress about. Your weight chart is letter-perfect - a nice gradual downslope. I've heard that you can develop an intolerance to dairy as you get older. My nephew started getting that intolerance. The weird thing for me is that I had the intolerance for milk when i was a young adult, then it wore off. Also, it could be a combination of dairy plus summer heat.
