I'm feeling back on track and my belly is starting to feel firmer again. I wrote down points the last 2 days again. I'm still at 143.0 this morning, but planning to be down from there this week. I was over in points the other day, but did great yesterday. Plus we had a walk to the park/ around a small lake and played tag on the playground with the kids. I'm heading to the gym this morning for a good workout. My son gave me trouble going into his class last time so my workout was compromised and he did this at church this weekend too, so he lost his video games (his favorite thing in the world), until after the Y this morning as long as he goes into his classroom nicely. This is very irritating so hopefully this phase will be done quickly. He does this every now and then where it's in his head that he will not be going to his class.

I'm going to view my recipes and come up with a few things for meals and sides this week. We had grilled chicken last night so I threw on some pinapple, green pepper and red onion on the grill which I had forgotten about doing for a while. It was very good and 0-1 points. I've also been enjoying making black bean soup and cream of asparagus soup on the FS website- nice sides and very low in points. Also yummy alongside of chicken is Texas caviar- take black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, cilantro and avacado mixed together. You can also add some lime. Really tasty and filling with chicken.

Well, I hope you all have a good week and we can all make some progress this week.

I know how kids can throw your schedule off track. My daughter is famous for throwing wrenches into mine :) The grilled pineapple sounds like a yummy thing to go with chicken. I'll have to try that. I love soups, too, but not so much during the summer. I will amp up my soup production come fall. I always like to have some in the freezer in single serving containers for a quick lunch idea. Keep up that healthy eating!

MMMmmm... your food ideas sound delicious! I'm going to have to try some! Don't know how old your son is, but I'm sure this is something that will start getting further and further apart in occurences. Sounds like you're doing the right things by taking away his prized possessions. Keep up the resolve!

Have you tried the WW zero point soup? I made some this weekend and have been eating a bowl here and there when I'm hungry. (Skipped yesterday, obviously! That's why I was so hungry for the Mexican dinner! LOL) It's easy to make, lasts forever and not too bad! You can use any kind of broth base (I use beef), then just add whatever veggies you want besides potatoes. I put in cabbage, carrots, celery, green onions, red and green bell peppers, mushrooms and zucchini. I saute all my veggies first to soften them up a little, then just simmer the whole thing for 30 minutes or so. I still have 4 servings in my fridge if you want to try it! LOL. Hope your son is better this morning. I'm off to the gym!
