Lotus's Journal, 28 June 2008

I feel positive this morning. I got a bit of a drop even though I munched out on some chex mix and popcorn last night. I'm glad I stopped eating before i felt full. I usually finish the whole portion I served myself, but i have been paying more attention to whether I have had enough or not, and it is helping a lot! I don't like feeling too full, something that has been happening way too much lately.
You know what I need? A full length mirror! The one I had before stayed in the old house, and now the only mirror I have is the bathroom one. SOmetimes I imagine I am much fatter than I actually am, and guess what those feelings lead to? Yeah you guessed it, overeating! Makes no sense but that's what happens.
When I feel fat, I avoid mirrors. My imagination adds at least 10 pounds on a bad day! I used to stand in front of a mirror(don't laugh!) and lift weights or do other strenght exercises, or even dance. I liked seeing my muscles being worked and it made me feel more confident, maybe even sexy.
I haven't been feeling sexy ever since we moved( and I started eating for comfort on a daily basis) and a certain someone is dfinitely noticing. I need to work on that..
I think we might be going out to dinner tonight, but I'm not going to stress about what I'm going to eat all day. I'll just use caution and try to do the best I can, and not go to either extreme; eating everything I shouldn't, or drinking diet soda and eating a tiny salad(and then eating everything in the house when I get home!)
I don't know when I'll get a chance to work out today, but I defnitely want to. I've got my lunch and snack planned ahead of time and now I plan to NOT think about food until I am actually hungry again. I think it will be a good day today. Hope ya'll have a good one too! Chat later!

Oh dear friend...get an 8 pound weighted ball (one of the toys I use) and hold it in your legs as you watch tv and roll around with it, pick it up and hold it with your knees and move your legs from side to side. Its kindof fun and it REALLY makes your legs look AWESOME! You'll be like, "dang, if I weren't myself, I'd even like my legs!" lol You go get 'em and email me anytime ok? Miss ya!
