smartin585's Journal, 20 May 2019

So I've been doing speed keto (turbo keto) for a month now and have lost 20 lbs... which is great, but I also don't eat much anymore because I'm so used to fasting and doing OMAD. That is good and bad...I want to lose weight, but also get stronger and i don't feel that 800 calories a day is going to help me with strength training. I don't feel hungry (I had to force myself to eat some extra protein tonight), but i might need more calories. Has anyone that has done OMAD eaten their one meal at lunch instead of dinner??...I feel hungrier in the middle of the day. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Lunch as your omad sounds perfectly fine to me.

If you want to eat more (and I think that is a good idea) you could eat two meals every day

because you are losing weight you are effectively using your own body calories as well so you do not need to get overly worried. Do you feel like you do not have enough strength for the exercises you like to do

Thank you all for the responses...I might try OMAD at lunch one day and see how it goes.

Start resistance training while doing what you’re doing. Lift and do cardio and up your calories little by little

Strength training requires nutrition for muscle growth and repair so you are likely right the timing of your meal is important.
