Walked up to Greenside mine from Glenridding today. Im definitely getting fitter so all the cycling has paid off. I did my dissertation up there and I love it but thanks to 7 years of joint surgery, including 2 hip replacements, I havent been there for years. It was quite an achievement being able to hike up there again without too much effort. I was rather shaky by the time we got back to the village and i was very grateful for my pecans.
