Been adjusting cals because of how crappy I have felt. Been seeing so much fluctuation. Only tried to add a little more carbs and 300 ish cals. I was reading yesterday about metabolism. I’m wondering what would help to jump start it. Less cardio more weight training. Or more cals and force my body to adjust. Or perhaps re-introduce carbs back all together. Not sure. 🤔

I hope you log everything, the ups and the downs. Everyone experiments and tries new and different things. This is totally normal. Good luck!

your liver plays a vital role in regulating your metabolism.....google foods that make it run at its peak and the types of foods/alcohol that slow it down.

Carbs and weights sounds good. But, I eat carbs. Complex carbs are best as are heavier weights. Seems to kick start things for me. Hope you find a good solution to meet your needs.

I suggest both Conditioning (C) & Strength (S), but mix it up. Start with C one day & S the next, but include both. Do you work Core? This is another great exercise group!!

I love you guys. So much good info and things I should go. Adef I def need to be better at logging. And I’m going to try the kombucha...sounds like a wonderful idea. I know ups and downs are normal as I have historically found it hard as hell to figure out the amount of calories that’s the perfect mix to lose weight...I just have been finding it rather difficult because of my working out. Been feeling like crap so I wanted to eat more and seems to be making me feel better. I haven’t gone in for a check up in a while which is what I should do. As far as exercise goes I will do 30-45 min of cardio not crazy like but good workout. Then work a different group each day. Abs or legs and booty, etc. Some days I’ll just do cardio or lighten it up. I don’t rest too often. But I don’t feel like I go too crazy—good moderation.

I pre log my food intake and adjust as the day goes by

When you say Cardio, is that just one exercise? Conditioning is a mix of both, cardio (Assault Bike, Ski ERG, Treadmill) with Jump Squats or Pushups, sit-ups, Jump Rope, KB Swings etc.

Try weight training, in addition to or in place of cardio, it really works. Start with a cheap pair of dumbbells and see if you like it. Good luck!

As far as cardio I’ll hill climb on the treadmill for 30-45 min or change it up with the elliptical—front and backwards at intervals. As far as other stuff I’ll my other crap on alternating days. I’ll do circuit but it’s mostly weights with machines or free weights.

Rosio that is such a GREAT idea ! I’m gonna do that.

80% weights, 20% cardio if at all. Eat at maintenance for a couple weeks if you want to help your metabolism.

It also depends how you want yourself to LOOK and taking into account your body type... I might sound vain, but my work out routine focuses on me achieving a certain body look that I particularly like. So knowing that there's cardio, weights, and different exercises to balance, choose accordingly. -- And yes, health is always number 1, but heck, I'll look fabulous while being healthy too ;)

Okay D. I think I think my cals need to be higher but I don’t think so—I must not be as active as I think I am to warrant the extra cals. That or I totally screwed the pooch because I’ve been gaining over the past week. Sounds like a plan !!

Remember there is a difference between water n fat weight...diablo knows more of this, but that I know muscle retains water 💦

What makes us look fat is fat not water

And true that immort...I don’t want to be vain either but I don’t want to look unhealthy and slovenly. Spent too much time doing that. The time is now to kick it up. I am just trying to figure out the best food/exercise routine that will work. And as you can tell I’m a bit of a control freak. Rosio is helping me be chill about it. Or she’s going to put a choke hold on me or drop a antivan in my coffee 🤣🤣🤣☕️
