I have a buddy at work that helps me stay accountable during the week. We pitch in and make breakfast and lunches together at work and meet at the gym before work most days. Our system works really well because she is gluten free and I am TRYING to be low carb/ dairy free. I snack late at work and usually dont get hungry at home so I can control my what I eat for dinner bc I go to bed early and dont eat after 6-7pm.

Here's the problem... the weekends.. I goof every weekend. Friday night is "movie night" and we always rent something then and 1/4 of the time he brings home wine or a 6 pack. We are in the "honeymoon" stages and after a long sh!tty week, a drink sounds nice, which kicks me off plan. Then we eat out or go to the movies and I make really bad choices. My choices are better than before but they aren't really where I need to be.Even if I dont have a glass of wine, I get tempted to eat off plan at least a couple times during the weekend and once I cheat, it's all downhill. How does everyone combat weekend temptation? My kitchen can be stocked full of low carbiness and I'll still cheat. Then Monday rolls around and I jump back on the wagon and Im good again. I just know I could lose at a steadier rate if I started taking this seriously again.

For the record, I live with my adult son and my DH is 6'5 and they both need to eat "normally". DH can go 3-5 days maybe eating my way but then he will complain he is hungry during the day and he needs to eat more and by more I mean carbs.

Any advice and/or guidance will be appreciated. And I want to be honest.. I dont always log what I eat but I try - even the bad stuff. I dont always drink enough water but Im working on that. AND I dont usually cook dinner except weekends. He does bc he gets home first and since we wake up at 430am we like to be done with dinner EARLY.

HALP!!

Sounds like your work weeks are amazing! Nice that your DH cooks dinner. No guidance have lived mostly by myself on successful part of this journey. Before that my ex would do everything possible to sabotage me and he also needed to lose weight.

Weekends are tough for me too, I think that it is really important to log everything. Now days I try to stick to one or two drinks and I usually order off the appetizer menu for my entree. We also have shifted to places that have food options for both of us. I definitely do better if we don't go out on the weekend. As far as during the week, I usually prepare some carbs for the hubs, like roasted potatoes, or say he has tacos and I make mine into a salad. And remember that slow is okay, these roadblocks will still be around once you get to you goal.
