I know when I say "do you ever feel like all you did was eat all weekend" that most of you will know what I mean. That is how I feel. So back to it today and I am HAPPY to be back on a more normal trend. We went out to eat with friends Friday night and then Saturday my SIL came over, and subsequently spent the night. Then yesterday we were running around all day too with errands. I did have a beer yesterday, and it was SO GOOD. However, I can say that after having it I don't feel like I have been really missing out by not having a beer in several months....so that is good.

Friday my gym plans were foiled. I had to work late and my plan to run, then gym to row and circuit weights didn't come to fruition. In the past I just wouldn't have done anything. However, this time I changed gears and ran two miles. So that is a NSV! Saturday I got up and got a quick mile in before we went running around everywhere. Yesterday was a bust gym wise. Today I have a plan...BUT I am not going to put it here since last Friday my plan was screwed up...hahaha.

Anyway, I have a business trip to Georgia next month. It will be great to see everyone, but it will be the first time I have been home since my sweet Mama passed away. That will be hard, but at the same time my siblings have already had to get over that milestone and I know it is past time for me to have to get past it. I hope to try to get some gym time in or walking time in while I am there. However, with the 1-1/2 work commute (each way) and then seeing everyone (after work) I am not sure I will have much time. I will be staying in a Hotel two nights and I know I will be able to get my time in those nights. I will figure it out.

Time to get to the work day. Be kind to yourselves!

Good on you! Wow! Yes, I agree. Sunday just seems like I want to eat all day. I think it's because I sleep later, or at least, stay in bed longer, so my body feels like it missed something? I dunno. But being aware of it, or conscious as Kenna journaled, is the first step in making intelligent choices.

So true! Going with my diet, I see that social eating is my biggest vice. I eat healthy any other day...but am still conquering social eating. @Rosio - agree! I have to look at my calorie "bank" in terms of the week. Last week I lost a few pounds even with the social eating. Was more cognizant of not eating as much on my non social days. @Jaime, I feel the same way about beer. I, by surprise, no longer feel like I am missing much in terms of alcohol. I have always love, love, love my wine! Especially coming home after my classes in the evenings. I literally could only get through 4 oz of beer this weekend. And I noticed that my hair has become so much healthier too! Last night, I had a hard time sleeping - thought it was due to daylight savings time - but was curious about alcohol and sleep. Turns out that that good ole night cap is a myth. Alcohol is extremely sleep disruptive. So I have been getting better sleep as well!

Thanks, y'all. During the week my calories are typically 'under' so a heavy calorie day isn't really that bad. We had asian on Saturday, and although I had mongolian beef (no rice) it still packed quite a few carbs. I know it won't kill me and I guess another NSV is that today I don't feel like going off on a carb bender and binging for days. @courtney - so true! I had that beer yesterday afternoon and I was like dang I need to eat something because I sure am BUZZING!! I love wine, too, and really have gotten away from that one too. it's not like I drank all the time, but as you said I did enjoy a drink. Yes, I think it is some what disruptive too. Here is being back on track today and getting that hard work out in!!! :) Thank you all for the positive feedback and helpful encouragement. You are all inspiration to keep going!

I think that’s what helps me, I always save calories for the weekend... so I’m never eating the same amount of calories and might that helps my metabolism as well 🤷🏻‍♀️
