Smash84's Journal, 22 October 2012

I just got home from seeing the doctor and getting my test results. I am about 5x lower than the average person in Vitamin D and I am Borderline on my Thyroid which he suspects is caused by my size. He prescribed me 5000mg of Vitamin D twice a week and a low thyroid tab once a day. I feel better knowing that I am completely normal on my sugar, blood pressure, etc. I am also eating within his standards so yay! I hope this is my answer!! I'll keep you guys posted!

It might sound silly, but it's good that they found something. It would be really frustrating if they didn't find anything wrong! I hope you are doing better shortly... I have heard the thyroid pills, even the low dose, takes about two weeks to work, so don't stress if you don't feel a change right away.

Really hope this helps! DH takes thyroid pills and give him more energy. Just curious - how did you get so low on the vitamin D?

They're not sure why I'm so low. Its either hereditary, or I simply don't absorb it. They're thinking about testing my Brother and My Mom to see it they're low as well.
