Well i did end up going to the bank, the dollar store and the grocery store yesterday. Got most of the stuff for the "snacktastic gift basket" i am putting together for rm's folks. Of course now have to go back for the few things i forgot/got wrong (which prevent me from making the treats -- i need parchment paper and turns out i need mint oreos and sprinkles). I am so disorganized.

Plus i need to buy the brisket and etc. for dinner. Trying not to freak out, but grrrr. Trip to dollar store was surprisingly good. I got cute stuff for wrapping and tins for the treats. Seriously this is not usually my season, but i have been watching all those cooking shows!!

I am letting rm sleep in but he is going to be pressed into service later on. At least to share my pain! he will help with the treats too. He does not/did not cook, but now he helps me a lot and has a number of things he can make now. Also think i may lobby to leave a day later. It was kind of a lost week.

I think i am better because my appetite is back. Ate a great breakfast yesterday, then a sensible dinner (an egg, one piece high fiber bread, one sausage and the last of the minnestrone). Then busted into the kettle chips. Then got into the thin oreos. Sweets aren't usually a thing for me, but once in awhile they sneak up on me. If any of my craftsy efforts are pic-worthy, i will post.

I was hungry early again today. maybe bc of chips and cookies last night? Gonna have to have a reboot with IF. Had breakfast of jen's veggie patty melt and celery sticks with hummus, tea.

It is fantastic you are feeling better for Christmas!! And great job getting so much done yesterday - can't wait to see pics of your goody basket - what a great gift! You can get through the shopping - it is almost done!! And dang - kettle chips are one of my favs - so hard to stop eating those!!

Glad you are feeling better. 😊 Ugh! Hate when I forget stuff, which means an additional trip. How's this for forgetting; I forgot 5 blouses at our hotel in Phoenix! We'll be staying there on our way back so the hotel is holding them for me. Good thing we are staying with my kids, because my daughter said I could wear some of the tops I gave her because they were too small for me, but fit me now. 👍 I can be such a dork! I'm sure your gift basket will turn out very nice. Have a safe trip and a wonderful and merry Christmas. 🎄
